Welcome To Lee Acres Neighborhood
!
A good neighborhood in which to live located in Northeast
Mississippi
in the city of Tupelo, Lee County.
From small beginnings in 1959, the neighborhood has expanded
in six
developments to include a wide variety of homes today. It is one of the
largest
neighborhoods in Tupelo.
Most of the streets are named for
U.S.
Presidents. President Avenue, which splits the neighborhood,
is
over a mile long and the area measures about one half mile
wide.
Many of the long term residents remember when the area was a
prime hunting ground for Indian relics.
Lee Acres is ideally located in the city and has many
benefits to offer
its residents. The bike lane on President Avenue is used for
hiking,
walking and running. It is a safe and clean neighborhood
with low
crime rate, churches, shopping, schools and restaurants. The
campus of the largest rural medical center in the U.S. with
countless
physicians
is located one block east of Lee Acres. We also are
conveniently
located to access major highways and the Natchez Trace
Parkway.
Lee Acres is dedicated to being a proactive community. The
Lee Acres NCOP report is given at each meeting at which time the
policemen who
patrol the area give an update of any concerns of which the
residents
should be aware of.
